Narrative

Sir Donald George BRADMAN AC died peacefully at his home at the Adelaide suburb of Kensington
of pneumonia on Sunday 25 February 2001 at the age of 92 years.
Sir Don was knighted on 15 March 1949 The Companion General Division of Order of Australia (AC).
His last Cricket Season was Summer of 1948-9.
"The Don" is dead. At 92, the man who set standards that will never be achieved and records that
will never be broken. He was the greatest ever to play, was and always will be, Australia's sporting
inspiration, he was the Invincible.
Sir Don is survived by his son John, daughter Shirley, and three grandchildren, Greta, Tom & Nicholas.
