All the children of John Nicol & Frances Halewood were christened at St Peters Liverpool, except Emily? I went over it a couple of times, they were the only Nicol's at St Peters at that time. I couldn't find a marriage either. All the Halewood children were christened at St Peters too. I can't find either of them on the Shipping Records either.
27/4/1994. -- I have a letter from Mrs Nellie Turner who was Ellen Brookfields daughter (b1876), she said Ann (Chadwick) Brookfield died 1890, the year she said Jack & Ben came, to Aust., because Jack was a very sick man & had been told a long sea voyage would improve his health, He wasn't able to work much, but he did get married, & had a child, a boy I think, would that have been Grandpa Jack? (Bens girl friend & Jacks wife came out to them) not true!).... Now Matthew & Elizabeth, brother & sister came out to-gether. Matthew as you know was Mrs Newells father, he lived with her after his wife died, ... he could have talked about the family ....Elizabeth as you know married Ben Geech & had Ann... When Matthew & Elizabeth sold the family furniture etc they couldn't have given my mother any family papers or photoes as I would have known...looking at your letter ... etc etc .......
