April 2008 - Today I looked at Rookwood Independant Cemetery Fiches & found the Grave next to Hendrick & Ruth Bongers grave was for "Elizabeth Coar- late E.McVicar". Elizabeth & Hendrick were probably the same age, & probably knew each other. Hendrick's son Harold Bongers married Christina Lilian McVicar in 1912. We knew them as Uncle Harold & Aunty Lill. The Grave is in the Old Independant Section E, Row 13, Plot 831.
SMH - COAR - 18th November, 1928, at her residence, 3 Albert St., Leichhardt. ELIZABETH COAR, beloved mother of Mrs. Lily Bongers, of Campsie, aged 65 years.
COAR - The rels & friends of Mrs. ELIZABETH COAR are kindly invited to attend her funeral; to leave her late residence, 3 Albert St., Leichhardt. This (Monday) afternoon at 2 o'clock, for the Independant Cemetery, Rookwood. By road, motor funeral. Friends please alight at No. 1 cemetery platform.
