Death Transcription from Joy Murrin - Reg #17998, date 19 September 1917, off Norah Head, 24 miles South of Newcastle. Occupation - Cook, Age 66 years, Died at Sea from Exposure in the Life Boat after S.S.Nerong had floundered. Informant H.E.Frost. Born Greekock Scotland, parents not known.
Other Comments - Deaths on board The S.S.Nerong, sailed from Sydney 18/9/1917, Floundered at Sea off Norah Heads, near Newcastle 19/9/1917.
