"Ebb" said - My Paternal Grandfather was a painter & Decorator in Balmain, & my Grandmother had a Shirt Factory & all her daughters worked in the factory. My mother was put in charge when she was 14, & when she married & had us 2 boys she then opened her own shop in Rozelle, dressmaking.
Birth not registered in NSW under Cruwys, Crewys, Crewis or Crewes. He was born in 1886 at 53 Merton St, Rozelle. He married Irene Watts in 1914 & they lived at 5 Barr St, Balmain. In 1928 they moved to "Ti-Woona" 7(17) Massey St, Gladesville. He died in 1942 of Peritonitis in Sydney Hospital.
