Narrative

Micah Proctor was a local preacher for the Primative Methodist Connexion. It all began with his grandfather Micah Petty & his uncle, Rev John Petty (Micah & John were about the same age).
Micah Proctor took the call of the Primative Methodists from Salterforth to Berwick on Tweed, to Halifax to Newcastle on Tyne, he migrated to Newcastle in N.S.W. abt 1857, ahead of the family. He was a trustee Primitave Mewthodist Church, Newcastle in 1857.
Micah died on 26 July, 1884 at the home of his son Thomas Procter., their were 3 funeral notices in the Newcastle Morning Herald.
He was buried at Sandgate Primitive Methodist Sec.SE .5.
