30/12/1989 - Received a call from Clarice, she has been to England with her daughter, to do some Irish Family history. They went to the P.R.Office & photocopied all the Irish cards in the index they could find & gave me a copy of them. We have been now able to go back another 3 or 4 generations - to John Irish married Mary Lombard in Hinton St.George, Somerset on 29/10/1784.
16/1/1990 - Went to visit Clare, also 20/4/1990 meet Roslind Ellis. Address - Reiby Rd, Hunters Hill.
1/7/1992 - sent Clare a Computor Printout. Sent Clare Xmas cards - 1992 to 1999.
20/2/1995 - sent Clare long letter (10pages) with colour photocopies of Graves at Rookwood Cemetery, also a couple of B.D.& M's I've found, including Scoffields.
20/12/2001 - Xmas card from Trudy - 170 Elizabeth Drive, Vincentia 2540, telling me of her mothers death.
SMH - Clarice Martha THOMAS, died 26 September, 1999, at hospital. Beloved wife of Derrick Claude Thomas(dec) loved mother of Christopher, Diana (Trudy) and Belinda & mother-in-law of Jane. Dearly loved Grandmother of Peter, Emma, Ben, Amelia, Daniel & Matthew. Loved sister of Beryl (dec), & Jean. Aged 81 years, Always in our hearts.
The FUNERAL Service will be held in the South Chapel, Northern Suburbs Crematorium on Wednesday, at 3pm.
