Eva Amy Purnell married Rev. Alfred Bongers on 23 May, 1894 at Parramatta Congregational Church, when the Rev Alfred died on 3 July, 1918 in Auckland New Zealand, she came back to Sydney, & I was told she worked in a Coffee Shop. After the Rev John Bongers wife Julia died on 16 January, 1930 in Brisbane, Eva married Rev John Bongers on28 August, 1934 at Broadway Congregational Church, Wollongabba, Queensland. (She was married to two brothers, both of them ministers.)
