Louisa was born 9/6/1861 in Stanley, Vic. She joined the Victorian Education Dept 20 Dec, 1877, in Beechworth, but she failed her admission exams & was described as a "poor teacher & disciplinarian" & was withdrawn from service in 1881. The 1914 Electoral Rolls shows Louisa living at the family home at Three Mile, Stanley, & her employment was home duties. She resided from 1925 to 1940 at 30 Grantham St, Brunswick West, where she died on 7/12/1940 from Myocarditis (2yrs), Cardiac Faliure (1mth), Senility for many years, & bad arthritis. She is buried in the Fawkner Cemetery, Presbyterian Compartment E, Grave 2192.
