Charles name was chosen from his fathers very close friend Charles Petersen, who was a miner at Three Mile Mine. He was born retarded & lived with his parents until they died, then with Roy & Phylis, and Betty & Jack Pund.
Charles died in 1967 in Mayday Hills Hospital, Beechworth. He is buried in the family grave at Beechworth Cof Cemetery, Sectoin F, Grave 121.
