Elizabeth was a Widow when she married John Ashcroft.
She came to Australia on the "Nile" on 15/12/1801. Her father was Captain John Tebbett, they were free settlers, she was 9 years old. Elizabeth died on 18/1/1847 buried on 21/1/1847 aged 56 years, she was a Farmers wife from Campbelltown, she is buried in a Vault at St. Peters Church, Cambelltown. I went there many years ago. #1847/823 Vol32b.I have a photocopy of her marriage & death.

I have a P-copy of John & Elizabeth's Marriage Certificate #1818/2167 Vol 3a. on 20 Apr 1818.
On his marriage Certificate it says John was "Free by Servitude" & Elizabeth was "Free".
