Florence J.M. Cook was born 31/7/1863 at Elizabeth St, Ashfield although the Fathers residence was at Hunters Hill. ??? the birth was registered at Concord.???
Marriage Cert. #607 - Florence was 19yrs old, a Tailoress, & Henry was 23yrs old & a Painter. The consent of Chas. R. Henderson, the Stepfather of the Bride was given to the marriage. Henry's father was John Watts, a Wharfinger & Florence's father was Thomas H.Cook (deceased) a Draper, & Rose McFedean!! & Charles R. Henderson's name is crossed out !! The marriage was witnessed by Austin Henry & Rose Alice Shettle.
BD&M's also have another 3 children born to Florence A. & Henry H. Watts :- Alfred H. b1885, Verlie b1897 & Donald J. b1899 all born at Muswellbrook NSW.
Henry & Florence Watts are buried in Rookwood Anglican cemetery #179841 - lots 1930/1.
Florence Hannah Kelleher is buried next to them - #179843 - lot 1932.
Also Marjorie Watts - died 6/7/1943 age 43yrs. - #179840 - lot 1929.
SMH - WATTS - September 9, 1943, at her daughters residence, 7 Massey St, Gladesville, Florence Jane Marven, widow of the late Henry William Dudley Watts, of Balmain, aged 79years. Funeral at Rookwood Cemetery to-morrow. "Ma or Gran Watts" died of a heart attack.
