Olive was born at 31 Harbour St, off Liverpool St, Sydney. She lived at 141 Ross St, Belmont for many years. My father used to take me up there for school holidays. Dad also told me that when he was younger, & he worked at the AMP, he used to catch the over night tramp steamer on Friday night, from Sydney to get off at Newcastle the next morning, to visit his parents at Belmont for the weekend. Olive died at her daughter Hilda's place at 10 Howard St, Strathfield.

FUNERAL - GRIST - The rels & friends of the late OLIVE GRIST, of Ross St, Belmont, are invited to attend the Funeral, to leave the West Chapel of the Metropolitian Funeral Home, Burwood, To-morrow (Wednesday) after service at 9am, for Waverley Cemetery. (Grave 177) Newcastle papers please copy. I attended Grandma's funeral out at Waverley Cemetery. Some years later I went on a "Walk about" with a group from S.A.G.'s & took a lot of photoes. There is one particular photo of me standing at the back of the headstone for Great-grandpa Pascoe's grave with the Lewis's family.
